Pharrell's Something in the Water Festival brings together Music and Art

Pharrell's Something in the Water Festival brought A-list musicians and artists to Virginia Beach for a 3 day festival. The event featured KAWS, the artist, who installed his HOLIDAY sculpture on the sand for the third and final day of the music festival. The installation featured a massive blow-up version of the iconic KAWS figurine sitting upright on a platform, with the Virginia Beach Pier in the background.
The second night of the Virginia Beach event was billed as “Pharrell Williams & Friends”.  A 90-minute set that included performances by SZA, Jay-Z, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Snoop Dogg, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Charlie Wilson, Jhene Aiko, and Tyler the Creator. 
Kaws Holiday was last seen sailing along the waters of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour. Organized by AllRightsReserved, the giant 37-meter installation features KAWS’ signature grey Companion with its arms outstretched.
