Andy Warhol Retrospective at the Whitney Museum
The Whitney Museum of American Art opens a major retrospective that looks at the life, career, and impact of Andy Warhol's work. The Show titled "From A to Z And Back Again" will chronicle Warhol's full career. Few artists find their works as instantly recognizable as Andy Warhol. His larger than life persona and willingness to experiment with non-traditional art-making techniques led to his image as an icon. Warhol understood the growing power of images in contemporary life and helped to expand the role of the artist in society.
