Albright-Knox Art Gallery renotavtion to feature mirror-mosaic canopy by Olafur Eliasson
The Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York, has outlined in detail its ongoing expansion plan that will feature a towering mirror-mosaic canopy designed by Olafur Eliasson. The mirrored entrance will greet patrons and welcome them to the planned $160 million expansion of the museum. The permanent installation is called Common Sky and will cover the "Indoor Town Square." “Common sky is an expansive sculpture through which visitors experience the constant motion of the surrounding natural environment," acclaimed Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson said about the artwork.
